Who am I?

From a very young age I have been fascinated by everything that has to do with sports. As a child I practiced as many sports as possible, both recreationally and in a club. Tennis and cycling are 2 sports that I follow very closely in the media and that I still try to practice regularly. However, football is and remains my greatest passion. This also explains why I chose to study physiotherapy at the KULeuven in 2008. I wanted to become a physiotherapist to get athletes ready to play again as soon as possible. In addition, I gradually received more and more attention for prevention. My motto is now more than ever 'prevention is better than cure'. I firmly believe that every athlete benefits from a good preventive program. This view has led me to specialize in both bike fitting and preventive gait analysis. Both are intended to prevent future injuries and thus minimize sports interruption.

In addition to my work as a physiotherapist, I currently regularly participate in sports. I am still active as a futsal player on a recreational level. In addition, I regularly cycle and go for a run. My sporting goal for this year is to finish my first marathon. Future goals are to successfully complete an Iron Man and run the marathon under 3h30.
