TESTING AND SCREENING

'Control' is a multidisciplinary medical center for general health and sport in the heart of Overijse, specialized in the physical support and guidance of patients, recreational athletes and athletes.

At Control Overijse we are convinced that our multidisciplinary operation will provide great added value to your guidance.

Testing
A maximum exercise test or lactate test gives you a clear picture of your physical condition. In our practice, this test can be taken both on a bicycle (your own bicycle or bicycle ergometer) and on the treadmill, depending on your preferred sport.

You complete a maximum exercise test with gradually increasing intensity. During the test, power, heart rate and lactic acid concentration in the blood are measured. This data is necessary to determine your individual training zones and VO2max. Individually determined training zones are the basis for training as efficiently as possible.

After the test, we will send you an extensive report of the test results by email. From now on you train with more comfort, and moreover with a higher return for both your health and your performance! After the exercise test, you can also contact our exercise physiologist for training guidance tailored to your needs.
Sports medical examination
If you wish to take a maximum exercise test, you must have a valid sports medical certificate or a competition license. If you do not have such a certificate or license, it is necessary to undergo a sports medical examination prior to the exercise test. During this inspection, it is checked whether you can exercise safely. Afterwards you will receive a sports medical certificate that is valid for 2 years.
You can make an appointment for this with Charlien, the sports physician within our practice or with a sports doctor in your area:www.sportartsen.be/sportartsen.

Please bring the obtained certificate with you on the day of your appointment!
The exercise tests are conducted by our experienced exercise physiologist Jo Cooman.
